Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) is an organization officially and legally recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a body for Nigerian
citizens in the diaspora. It serves as a platform for Nigerian citizens such as intellectuals, technocrats, policymakers, and professionals in the diaspora to
build their local communities, consolidate their resources and positively impact their host countries and Nigeria.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Americas (NIDOA) was formed in the year 2000 with a vision to harness the expertise, knowledge base, skills,
networks, and economic strength of Nigerians resident in the Americas. Currentiy, NIDOA is actively operating in different regions of the USA, Canada and
Brazil
NIDOA, in general, and NIDOA Brazil, in particular, also support the Nigerian government’s focus on promoting Nigeria as an African investment
destination. In this sense, NIDOA partners with other foreign communities and professional organizations within the public and private sectors to hamess
the opportunities that positively impact their host communities and Nigeria.
