Our mission is to encourage the spirit of patriotism, cooperation, and unity among Nigerians
living in Brazil to achieve individual and collective success. Furthermore, we seek to
connect Nigerian communities worldwide and mobilize their resources to contribute to the
development of Nigeria. With clear objectives and concrete actions, we aim to strengthen
the Nigerian diaspora and promote the construction of a more prosperous team that is fair to all.
Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) is an organization officially and legally
recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a body for Nigerian citizens in
the diaspora. It serves as a platform for Nigerian citizens such as
intellectuals, technocrats, policymakers, and professionals in the diaspora to
build their local communities, consolidate their resources and positively impact
their host countries and Nigeria.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Americas (NIDOA) was formed in the year
2000 with a vision to harness the expertise, knowledge base, skills, networks,
and economic strength of Nigerians resident in the Americas. Currently, NIDOA is
actively operating in different regions of the USA, Canada and Brazil.
