Our mission is to encourage the spirit of patriotism, cooperation, and unity among Nigerians living in Brazil to achieve individual and collective success. Furthermore, we seek to connect Nigerian communities worldwide and mobilize their resources to contribute to the development of Nigeria. With clear objectives and concrete actions, we aim to strengthen the Nigerian diaspora and promote the construction of a more prosperous team that is fair to all.

NIDO Brazil’s vision is founded on the unshakable belief that Nigerians residing in Brazil and throughout Latin America have a unique ability to work and improve friendship and activism.

We believe that, by uniting our strengths and abilities, we can create a prosperous and collaborative environment that benefits the Nigerian community and society.

Brief history of Nidoa

Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) is an organization officially and legally recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a body for Nigerian citizens in the diaspora. It serves as a platform for Nigerian citizens such as intellectuals, technocrats, policymakers, and professionals in the diaspora to build their local communities, consolidate their resources and positively impact their host countries and Nigeria.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Americas (NIDOA) was formed in the year 2000 with a vision to harness the expertise, knowledge base, skills, networks, and economic strength of Nigerians resident in the Americas. Currently, NIDOA is actively operating in different regions of the USA, Canada and Brazil.

NIDOA, in general, and NIDOA Brazil, in particular, also support the Nigerian government’s focus on promoting Nigeria as an African investment destination. In this sense, NIDOA partners with other foreign communities and professional organizations within the public and private sectors to harness the opportunities that positively impact their host communities and Nigeria.

 

The main mission of NIDOA Brazil is to instill ethical consciousness and civic responsibility that will enhance the socio-economic advancement of Nigeria, Nigerians everywhere, our countries of residence and humanity in general.

Brief Description of Nigeria

Nigeria is a West African country located between latitudes 4o N and 14o N and longitudes 2o E and 15o E, having a landmass of 923,768 sq. km. It is bordered by Niger and Chad in the North, Benin in the West, Cameroun in the East and the Atlantic Ocean in the South. Nigeria is blessed with human and natural resources, making it an investment destination for oil and gas, agricultural, industrial and other commercial activities.
